BCC_ClientGenie 5: More control over Notes environments and many other features
The new release of the customer proven Notes Client Management solution BCC_ClientGenie unites powerful functions with ease-of-use. The new release will be showcased to the international audience at Lotusphere. In Germany BCC_AdminTool 7 will be presented at CeBIT. This release is expected to be available by the end of Q1.
What's new in release 5 ?
Administrators looking for an efficient way to manage their daily Notes client management tasks and support infrastructure projects will find the perfect solution in BCC_ClientGenie. With it they can apply a corporate standard to users' Notes workspaces and pages, provide access to required databases, add or change location and connection documents, and much more. The new restriction rules in release 5 extend the range of control, as administrators can dictate server access and prevent database operations at runtime.
Advanced actions
In addition to implementing corporate standards and managing changes, administrators can run custom LotusScript code, imported agents or external applications. They also can activate predefined actions provided in release 5 such as carrying out template changes to local databases, roaming of any defined files, or deleting private views. These actions eliminate the need for custom development of LotusScript agents and give administrators (and possibly help desk staff) a very fast and effective tool to correct and manage issues not related to desktop standard processes.
